The first official visit of the Prime Minister to Armenia is extremely important. Such a statement made today the Minister of Foreign Affairs David Zalkaliani.
“It is a crucial visit because of the new geopolitical situation. It is useful to harmonise the positions on the current situation and discuss the further deepening of bilateral relations.
Of course, the security situation is one of the main issues. We are interested in establishing peace in the region resolving all existing problems through dialogue and negotiations. We voiced our initiatives during the visit to Azerbaijan and the visit to Yerevan. Georgia is ready to offer Tbilisi to our partners as a platform for dialogue.
We do not have the illusion that Georgia could mediate on significant political issues, though we can address concerns related to economic cooperation, small and medium business partnerships, people-to-people relations, and humanitarian issues”, - added the Minister.
