Natia Turnava spoke with her Lithuanian counterpart about the resumption of tourism relations

The Minister of Economy Natia Turnava held a video conference with Acting Minister of Economy and Innovation of Lithuania, Energy Minister Zygimantas Vaiciunas.

The parties discussed priority areas of mutual economic collaboration. They emphasized the resumption of tourism relations amid the post-epidemic period.

According to the ministers, Georgia made considerable progress in preventing coronavirus outbreak, and the efficient Government measures allowed Georgia to boast being one of the first countries lifting tourism restrictions. The parties emphasized the importance of creating a safe corridor and travel protocols, which is a prerequisite for the resumption of cooperation between countries and the recovery of direct flights.
