The Russian Foreign Ministry responded to the Geneva discussions

"The participants reaffirmed the importance of dealing with humanitarian problems, including through efforts to facilitate contacts between people and ease the border crossing regime.

The Russian side again stressed the need to ensure access to related international venues, primarily UN agencies, for representatives of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. The solution of this problem, along with Georgia’s refusal to promote its annual UN General Assembly resolution on the internally displaced persons and refugees, would help relaunch a detailed consideration of this set of issues within the framework of the Geneva International Discussions”, - reads the statement of Russian Foreign Ministry.
