In the Russian city of Dzerzynsky, the number of injuries increased to 89, up to 20 of them still remain in the hospital. The incident took place yesterday in the warehouse of the Russian Defense Ministry. City officials say that the factory was used to produce and store high-explosive bombs for the military. A factory official says five people were inside at the time, but they were safely evacuated.
Most of the people who were hurt flying glass from the explosion, which also caused a shockwave that smashed windows in homes and other factories in the city. According to the investigation, the explosion was allegedly caused by technological irregularities in production.
